Savita Devi Mahavidyalaya is headed by the Society, SHATABDI SHIKSHA PRASAR SABHA founded by Late Shri(Dr.) Rampal Singh Nehra. Registered in 1992 under Society Registration Act 1860, the society was set with an aim to provide quality education to the students of nearby rural areas.

The founder chairman, Late Shri(Dr.) Rampal Singh Nehra belongs to village Kayasth Gaonwari. He always had a philanthropic script in him which encouraged him to uplift the standard of education. He served the community throught his life as a teacher and later on as a Principal. He was a great academician and educationist who shaw and worked to fulfil his dream of an educated and sound society.

The Society started its journey with establishment of a Senior Secondary co-ed school, SHATABDI PUBLIC SCHOOL (affiliated to CBSE) in 1998, then a teacher education institution SHATABDI INSTITUTE OF EDUCATION in 2001, followed by another teacher education institution  SAVITA DEVI MAHAVIDYALA in 2004 and the journey continues ...

The Society was accomplishing, its vision day by day but fate has decided something else the great visionary left us on 20-Nov-2010 forever. But his ideal always encourage us and shows us the light to the right path.
